Slowed down footage of Hillary Clinton stumbling before getting swept away in a black van at the September 11 anniversary ceremony in NYC appears to show a mysterious piece of metal falling out of her pant leg. The video was first shared on subreddit for Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump, where it quickly shot to the top of the bulletin board system website.
The video begins with the footage released earlier today, which left people wondering about the Democratic Presidential candidate’s health.
It then slows down multiple times and zooms in to show something falling out of Clinton’s pant leg as two men in black brace her. The object isn’t easily identifiable, but some claim to be able to hear a metallic sound too.
Trump supporters were quick to speculate that Clinton wears leg braces. However, there is no basis for this claim.
In the video, Clinton is then quickly swept away after she is put inside the black van.
ABC News’ Liz Kreutz said that the press pool who were at the event were not told where Clinton was going and that aides were not responding to questions. That report was reiterated by NBC News’ Monica Alba.
Later, Clinton’s campaign put out a statement reading:
Secretary Clinton attended the September 11th Commemoration Ceremony for just an hour and thirty minutes this morning to pay her respects and greet some of the families of the fallen.
During the ceremony, she felt overheated so departed to go to her daughter’s apartment, and is feeling much better.
It has since been reported that Clinton is suffering from pneumonia, too.
