A Wisconsin woman is accused of smearing peanut butter on the cars of people she falsely thought were Donald Trump supporters.

Christina Ferguson, 32, was arrested on October 17, reported the SPTimes.

Ferguson allegedly told police, “Peanut buttering is better than firebombing, and Trump plans on firebombing everybody in other countries,” said the Wisconsin newspaper.

The bizarre incident comes as tensions rise in the country surrounding the presidential election; in North Carolina, a local GOP office was firebombed.

The cars weren’t parked outside a pro-Trump event. Instead, they belonged to people who were attending a meeting of the Tomorrow River Conservation Club, said The Huffington Post.

New York Magazine says Ferguson walked into the meeting yelling about Trump and holding a jar of peanut butter before going to the parking lot.


2. A Deputy Says Ferguson Used Creamy Peanut Butter

The report says that Ferguson had a “family-sized jar of low-sodium, creamy natural Jif,” the Huffington Post said.

“Fortunately it wasn’t chunky peanut butter, so vehicles didn’t get scratched,” said Chief Deputy Dan Kontos, according to SPTimes.

The New York Daily News said officers claimed that Ferguson “repeatedly licked her fingers in front of the officers to indicate she had peanut butter on them,” while denying the incident.

According to The Daily News, “Ferguson showed up to the conservation club meeting thinking it was a Trump rally on Monday around 9:30 p.m. with a jar of peanut butter in hand and yelling obscenities about the GOP candidate.”

The Portage County Sheriff’s Department announced the arrest with a Facebook post that read: “MEDIA HIGHLIGHT: Political Smear Campaign Gets Out of Hand. With only 18 days until the presidential election, we urge everyone to practice your deep breathing exercises.”

A witness caught her in the act, yelled at her to leave, and called police, said The Independent.

Ferguson spoke about how much she loves Hillary Clinton and hates Donald Trump, and she also said she was “fed up” with the presidential election, authorities said, according to The Independent.

According to Town Hall, Ferguson was arrested and “later blew a .218 on a breathalyzer. She admitted to consuming beer and blackberry brandy prior to the vandalism.”
