WATCH: Hillary Clinton’s Response to Donald Trump Sexual Assault Accusations

Hillary Clinton publicly responded to the new sexual assault allegations against Donald Trump on Thursday during an event at one of her campaign field offices in San Francisco, California.

“We cannot let this pessimism, this dark and divisive, and dangerous vision of America take hold in anybody’s heart,” Clinton said. “We have to keep lifting up this campaign.”

Clinton emphasized that’s why she is working “as hard as I can.”

The Democratic presidential nominee told the group, “I want to give you something to vote for, not just against.

“I want to give you an agenda that will move us forward into the future, and I believe we can do it. I wouldn’t be standing here and running if I didn’t believe that we can and we will.”

She reminded her supporters to remember “when they go low, we go high.”

On Thursday Michelle Obama addressed the sexual harassment accusations made against Trump while speaking at a rally Thursday for Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire.

“I can’t believe I’m saying a candidate for president of the United States has bragged about sexually assaulting women,” the First Lady said. “This was not just ‘locker room banter.’ This was a powerful individual speaking freely & openly about predatory behavior.”

Clinton commended Mrs. Obama on Twitter saying, “Every minute of Michelle Obama’s 30 minute speech today is worth watching.”

Clinton’s campaign quickly responded to the allegations against Donald Trump in a statement on Wednesday.

Her campaign called the new allegations, which were published by The New York Times, as “disturbing,” but said the account “sadly fits everything we know about the way Donald Trump has treated women.”

“These reports suggest that he lied on the debate stage and that the disgusting behavior he bragged about in the tape is more than just words,” campaign communications director Jennifer Palmieri said.

In the statement, Palmieri called Trump’s behavior toward women “disgusting.”
