The circumstances surrounding Donald Trump’s cameo on the soap opera Days of Our Lives have completely changed the 2016 election.
On Friday, The Washington Post released video of Trump speaking with Access Hollywood host Billy Bush as he prepared to film a scene for Days of Our Lives. In the clip, Trump brags about trying to seduce a married woman, and he goes on to ogle one of the soap opera’s actresses, saying that he could forcibly grab her private parts and she would not stop him because he’s a celebrity. A piece of the scene Trump was filming that day has now been unearthed.
In a Days of Our Lives episode, Trump made an appearance as himself, and the character played by actress Arianne Zucker tries to get a job with his company. She lists off her business experience and flirts with him a bit, implying sexual favors and saying that she will be “a very willing employee working under you.” Trump says that this is an interesting proposition and that he’ll get back to her, although he takes that back at the end of the scene.
During a 2005 interview, actress Arianne Zucker said that she enjoyed working with Trump, adding that the New York businessman is her new best friend and that she flirted with him.
“He is so cute and charming,” Zucker said of Trump. She also said that she met Trump’s wife, Melania, the following night and that she was very sweet.
Trump’s cameo was actually parodied on an episode of Saturday Night Live at the time, with the role of Arianne Zucker being played by Amy Poehler. In the sketch, Trump continues to mess up his lines on the show after bragging about how well he’s going to do.
In the leaked tape, the Access Hollywood bus pulls up to the Days of Our Lives set, and Trump and Billy Bush see Arianne Zucker standing there waiting for them. Billy Bush says “Sheesh, your girl’s hot as s–t.” Trump then comments that he “better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her.” Both Donald Trump and Arianne Zucker were married at the time.
“You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them,” Trump says. “It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the p—y. You can do anything.”
