As all eyes are on who will be the next President of the United States, Islamic State terrorist channels are watching the polls to see if it will be a Trump or Clinton presidency while the Republican leads.
ISIS sympathizers have been actively updating the polling results on their terrorist channels as more states declare winners.
Previously, ISIS had encouraged attacks on election locations.
While the Islamic State has yet to officially respond to a projected Trump presidency, ISIS al-Hayat Media Center purportedly released an article about November 8 on November 5 called “The Murtadd Vote.”
The article served as a warning to Muslims participating in democracy, which ISIS repeatedly refers to as “paganism” in the article. The article also repeatedly refers to American “murtad” imams, or Islamic clerics. A murtad is a person who is born into Islam, or had previously accepted it, but then renounces it to become an apostate.
