On Tuesday night, Americans flocked to social media to voice their opinions on Trump’s win. The country’s Jewish population was a distinct presence in the Twittersphere– many voiced their concern about the Republican candidate’s triumph. Those fears were heightened last week, after Trump released a closing ad for his campaign. The Washington Post writes, “…this time illustrated with images of prominent Jews: financier George Soros (accompanying the words “those who control the levers of power”), Fed Chair Janet Yellen (with the words “global special interests”) and Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein (following the “global power structure” quote). The ad shows Hillary Clinton and says she partners ‘with these people who don’t have your good in mind.'”

My family in Israel is now concerned for me and that I will experience even more antisemitic attacks.
