Trump Portland Protest Mugshots: The Photos You Need to See

Portland police released a montage containing the mugshots of anti-Trump protesters arrested on November 10 in what authorities characterized as a riot.

Some of those arrested appeared to have injuries to their faces. CNN reported that, according to police, “anarchists” in the crowd turned a peaceful protest violent, “threw objects at officers, vandalized local businesses and damaged cars.”

Portland police said 26 people “were detained during Thursday night’s riot in Portland” and said “25 were arrested and booked into the Multnomah County Jail (unless otherwise noted) on the listed charges. One person was detained and released.” Police released booking photos from 19 of those people.

They released more mugshots from Friday night arrests.

Police have also released a series of photos of people they suspect of vandalism, asking for the public’s help in IDing the suspects.

The Portland unrest was part of a series of similar anti-Trump eruptions throughout the country in the days after the New York magnate was elected president.

Trump released two contradictory tweets in response to the protests/riots.

First, he appeared to chastise the protesters.

Then, he struck a different tone.

On November 11, Portland police sought the public’s help to identify more suspects, writing on its news site, “The Portland Police Bureau is asking for the public’s help to identify criminal suspects involved in last night’s protest and riot. Many people were taking pictures and video during the protest that may contain the identities of suspect involved in reports of widespread vandalism.” Police asked those people to provide police with the footage.

More protests were growing the evening of November 11, and police were trying to maintain control.

However, there were already reports on Twitter that things were escalating into disorder again.
