The day of the 2016 presidential election is finally here. What are Donald Trump’s plans for the day? From where will he be watching the results, and from where will he hold his acceptance or concession speech?

Tonight is a rare instance of both presidential candidates holding their election night parties in the same general area. Donald Trump is going to be at the New York Hilton Midtown Hotel, which is located on 1335 Avenue of the Americas in New York City. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton will be at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, located on 655 W 34th St.

Trump’s election night party will begin at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time. It’s from this location that Donald Trump will address the nation as soon as the race is called. We obviously don’t know at what time the victor will officially be declared, but if tonight is anything like the last two presidential elections, it will likely happen sometime after 11:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

By holding his final speech in New York City, Trump is coming full circle, having announced his candidacy at Trump Tower in New York City in June 2015. Why is Trump’s event happening at a Hilton Hotel instead of Trump’s own building? Well, as pointed out by The Washington Post, Trump Tower is considered a privately owned public space, so Trump technically shouldn’t be holding private political events there. When he launched his presidential bid there last June, he was fined $10,000 for doing so. Plus, the ballroom of the Hilton offers a bigger space for an election night party.

Because both candidates for president will be in New York City tonight, New Yorkers can expect an enormous amount of security. According to the Observer, more than 5,000 police officers will be on election duty in the city throughout November 8th.

Several New York City streets will also be closed due to Trump and Clinton’s events, according to DNA Info. Areas around the Javits Center were already closed on Monday and will not reopen until Wednesday morning, and streets around the Midtown Hilton will close at 3:00 p.m. this afternoon.
