In a new photo report purportedly released by the Islamic State, ISIS militants battle with Kurdistan Workers' Party fighters in Haddaj village, west of Raqqa. The photo report was released on ISIS terrorist channels on December 31. An accompanying summary of the report reads: "Aspects of the Clashes that Took Place with the Murtaddin #PKK in Haddaj Village, Southeast Jarniyyah, West of the Wilayah." ""Murtaddin" means someone who was born into Islam but now rejects it, similar to an apostate. "Wilayah" is a spelling variant of "wilayat," meaning "state, or "State of Raqqa." Viewer discretion is advised.
