A news anchor who worked for ABC, NBC, Fox and CBS, quit the media business and now works at a strip club in Las Vegas. Though Natalie Tejeda, 39, a tells My San Antonio that she solely works in promoting Sapphires club and doesn’t get on the pole herself. That’s aside from the pole dancing classes she takes because they’re “so good for your core.” Formerly, Tejeda was a news anchor in San Antonio, Birmingham as well as reporting in Los Angeles and Atlanta.
Here’s what you need to know:
1. Tejeda’s Mom ‘Isn’t Thrilled’ With Her Daughter’s New Choice of Career

The former anchor told the website, “My mom isn’t thrilled. She asks, ‘Don’t you feel you’re working somewhere where people are being abused?’ But everybody who works for Sapphire likes and enjoys the place. Nobody works there because they’re forced to.”
Tejeda also talked about what motivated her career move saying, “I love TV news, but got burned out. I saw multiple ownership changes, watched a lot of good people get let go.”

An online bio says Tejeda studied arts, speech communications and dance at Irvine Valley College, graduating in 1998. She also got a BA in broadcast journalism from California State University-Fullerton in 2001. More recently, Tejeda has been studying for her masters in business from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
That profile indicates that Tejeda is a native of Orange County, California. A nod could also be found towards Tejeda’s later career choice in the bio as it reads, “Natalie also enjoys a lot of the nightlife and live music San Antonio has to offer. An avid salsa dancer and lover of Texas country music, it’s not uncommon to see her spinning around the dance floor.”
Tejeda began her career at CBS Los Angeles, before moving on to KYMA-TV in El Centro, California. From there, she went to Fox 11 in Tucson before heading back to LA to work as a helicopter reporter for ABC Los Angeles. Tejeda moved to San Antonio but worked in PR. She returned to the news in July 2010 with KENS5.
According to Tejeda’s LinkedIn page, she worked for three years at KENS5 in San Antonio from 2010 to 2013. Tejeda moved from there on to Birmingham, Alabama to anchor for their CBS affiliate. Ad Week reports that Tejeda left Alabama in 2015 to move to the Fox affiliate in Atlanta to work as a social media editor.
Since leaving the business, Tejeda has set up her own PR consultancy firm. She also operates a beauty products company named Flawless Image.
When asked in a 2013 interview about her ideal job, Tejeda said, “Spy/International Woman of Mystery. I would be a redhead, kind of like Scarlett Johansson in Iron Man 2.”
On her Twitter page, Tejeda refers to herself as a social media geek, public relations hack and promotions professional. As a tribute to her San Antonio days, Tejeda also says she’s a Spurs fan.

5. Her Former Boss in Arizona Has Now Been Accused of Running a Brothel
In August 2016, Tejeda’s former boss in Arizona was accused of running a prostitution ring out a home in the town of Chandler. One of her former colleagues wrote on Twitter upon hearing of Bob Richardson’s arrest, “This guy was my boss in Tucson years ago. I knew something wasn’t right. Never expected this.” Tejeda’s reaction was to write, “UNREAL!!! This was my managing editor in Tucson!! #howthemightyhavefallen.”
Fox Phoenix reported at the time of Richardson’s arrest that his operation allegedly included a male masseuse and a video camera. He was accused of watching a masseuse performing sex acts on men from another room.
