Carrie Fisher, the actress who played Princess Leia in the Star Wars film franchise, has passed away today at the age of 60. She will be remembered for her life and quotes, onscreen and off. According to People.com, Fisher passed away this morning surrounded by loved ones. TMZ reports that Fisher had been hooked up to a ventilator after suffering a heart attack on a transatlantic flight last week. According to the Los Angeles Times, Fisher was on a plane from London to Los Angeles when she suffered the “cardiac episode" 15-minutes before the flight was due to land. The Huffington Post adds that passengers on the plane attempted CPR on Fisher before she was taken away by emergency service personnel upon landing. Fisher is survived by her mother, actress Debbie Reynolds, along with her daughter, Billie Lourd.
