At least 27 people were killed in a dramatic explosion at a Tultepec fireworks market near Mexico City.
Another 70 people were injured in the explosion in Tultepec, which is about 25 miles from Mexico City, Mexico, according to CNN.
CNN said that fireworks are a major industry in that area of Mexico. The cause was not yet clear and damages were still being assessed for the December 20 explosion.
The AP said the market where the explosion occurred is the best known market in Mexico. According to the AP, the market is open air.

Emergency responders had rushed to the scene. This post will be updated as more is known about injuries and cause. There were reports that some might have died, but those reports were unconfirmed as the situation had just occurred and was fast-unfolding.
According to the AP, a 2005 fire broke out at the same market that also triggered an explosion and there was a fire at another Mexico market in 2006.
