Detroit Lions wide receiver Andre Roberts was listed as questionable for the Wild Card game against the Seahawks in Seattle, potentially affecting not only Detroit’s offense but special teams as well. The Lions have since upgraded his status to active, however.

Roberts was limited in practice this week due to a shoulder injury, and if he hadn’t been available on Saturday night, it would have forced the Lions to make other plans in several phases of the game.

In his first season with the Lions, Roberts wasn’t a major player on offense. He only started one game at wide receiver during the regular season and amassed only 14 catches for 188 yards and one touchdown. Roberts was a much bigger contributor on special teams. Roberts is the primary kick and punt returner for Detroit, averaging over 22 yards per kick return and 12 yards per punt return. If Roberts aggravates the injury during the game, expect Dwayne Washington to take his place on the kick/punt return teams.
