Prediction

The Raiders come into the game into the game with a new starting quarterback, as Matt McGloin will take the snaps under center with Derek Carr sidelined with a broken fibula. McGloin will get his first start since 2013 for the Raiders against a Broncos team who has dropped from Super Bowl champions last year to not in the playoffs.

McGloin has a lot of talent around him, with Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree at wide receiver. He doesn’t necessarily have the arm that Carr had, but with those two receivers out wide, short throws could make the difference. As a team, Oakland has the 10th-most yards after catch in the NFL this season. The Raiders will be looking to stay healthy this week with the playoffs looming next week.

After starting the season 4-0, the Broncos have gone 4-7 while scoring just 18 points per game this season. With head coach Gary Kubiak stepping down Sunday, Denver seems in disarray as it tries to resolve its issues and put a nightmare season to rest.

The Pick: Broncos 23-20 (Broncos cover the spread, the OVER wins)
