Women’s March on Washington DC 2017 Live Stream: How to Watch the Event Online

January 21, 2017 is the Women’s March on Washington DC event, drawing thousands upon thousands to participate in the cause, which the official website states is to “send a bold message to our new administration on their first day in office, and to the world that women’s rights are human rights.” In honor of the event, which came about via Facebook, sister marches all over the world will also take place in support of the movement. Celebrities from Katy Perry to Cher are expected to attend the event and speakers include Michael Moore, Maryum Ali, Scarlett Johansson, Ashley Judd, Gloria Steinem and countless others.

If you are not attending the Women’s March on Washington but would like to watch the event, there are a couple ways to make that happen.

Democracy Now! will feature a live stream of the event from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. ET and you can check it out by clicking here. This coverage of the event will broadcast from near the Women’s March main stage area, featuring speakers, performers and interviews with demonstrators.

Should you be looking for the Women’s March on Washington on your television, you are in luck if you have DirecTV or Dish Network. LinkTV will air coverage of the event from 7 a.m. – 12 p.m. ET (Dish Network 9410 & DirecTV Ch. 375) and Amy Goodman will be covering the event for the network. One of the organizers of the event, Breanne Butler, spoke with the NY Times about the purpose of the event and stated:

We’re doing it his very first day in office because we are making a statement. We are here and we are watching. And, like, ‘Welcome to the White House.’
