Game Preview: No. 4 Florida takes on No. 8 Wisconsin in an unlikely Sweet 16 matchup. Wisconsin upset top-seeded Villanova in a chaotic East region where Baylor is the highest remaining seed as the third seed.
Florida bounced back from a late-season slump to win their first two NCAA tournament games. The Gators won each game by 15 and 16 points. After defeating East Tennessee State in the opening round, Florida went on to beat Virginia to advance to the Sweet 16.
Wisconsin had a much more difficult path opening up with Virginia Tech and Villanova. The Badgers defeated the Hokies by ten points and squeaked out a three-point win over the Wildcats.
The winner of the Florida-Wisconsin game will go on to face the South Carolina-Baylor winner in the Elite 8.
