WATCH: FBI’s James Comey Testifies on Russian Interference [FULL VIDEO REPLAY]

FBI Director James Comey and National Security Agency Director Michael Rogers testified in front of the House Intelligence Committee on March 20.

The two fielded questions from committee members on Capitol Hill in regard to the role Russia played in the 2016 presidential election, specifically in regard to Donald Trump‘s campaign.

During the hearing, which lasted well over five hours, Comey confirmed that the FBI is investigating Russian interference in the election and whether or not those who worked within Trump’s campaign were in contact with officials in Moscow.

Comey said that the FBI is specifically looking into some associates who worked within Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign that may have been in contact with Moscow and officials within the Russian government. He said that Russia attempted to have an influence on the presidential election.

“The FBI, as part of our counterintelligence effort, is investigating the Russian government’s efforts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election,” he said.

In addition, Comey said that the agency has found “no information” after taking a look into Trump’s claims that former President Barack Obama had Trump Tower’s “wires tapped.” Trump tweeted out in March 4 that he had reason to believe that Obama spied on his campaign.

The White House issued a statement via email shortly after Comey’s statement saying that as it stands, there is still “no evidence” of Russia’s ties to Trump’s campaign.

Nothing has changed. Senior Obama intelligence officials have gone on record to confirm there is NO EVIDENCE of Trump-Russia collusion and there is NO EVIDENCE of a Trump-Russia scandal.
