Happy Easter! Today Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ after his crucifixion on Good Friday. Here are Bible verses about Jesus' triumph over Death. The date of Easter is always the first Sunday after the full moon following a spring equinox. This year, Easter is on Sunday, April 16. Easter is the culmination of Holy Week and comes three days after Good Friday. Good Friday comes after Maundy Thursday or Holy Thursday. Maundy Thursday commemorates the Last Supper Jesus had with his disciples where he washed their feet.
