WATCH: Police Capture Runaway Horse In Philly’s Fishtown

In the video above, Philadelphia police finally captured a horse that was believed to have gotten loose from Fairmount Park stables.

A phalanx of police cars was able to surround the horse as it galloped through the city’s Fishtown neighborhood Friday morning. They captured it at around 7:15 a.m. Friday, at Girard Avenue and Richmond Street, according to CBS Philly.

Officers first saw the horse while they were doing traffic control at the NFL prep station at Eakins Oval, according to reports. The horse was loose in traffic, but he managed to escape harm.

Police fed the horse carrots to help calm him, so he could be loaded into a trailer and returned to his stable.
