dog bowls, dog bowl, automatic dog feeder, automatic pet feeder, elevated dog bowls, raised dog bowls, dog dishes, slow feed dog bowl

Feeding the dog is an oft-overlooked part of the day. Most people sling some kibble into a dish and call it good. For those of you out there who are a little more focused on your dog’s food delivery vehicle, read on. There are plethora of designs and styles for your pup’s mealtime needs and as the consummate dog owner, you’ll of course want to see several of them before you come to a decision. There are plenty of dogs who have special feeding requirements and nearly as many dog bowls designed with those requirements in mind. Of course, in addition to just the right bowl, you’ll want a feeding mat to contain any messes.

While you consider what to put the food in, you may also want to revisit the food itself. We recommend the best grain-free dog food here and the top five best dry dog food brands here. Before it hits the bowl, you may also consider keeping the food in a pet food container to keep it fresh.

From slow eating bowls to app-enabled automatic feeders, we’ve compiled a list of the top ten best dog bowls to help you pick the best for your furry friend.

This is just a basic, but stylish, pedestal bowl. Made of ABS composite, this bowl is finished to look more like glass or porcelain. It has a rubber base to ensure that it won’t move around, but it’s still dishwasher safe. It’s also microwave safe, if you warm up your dog’s food before you serve it. (JW Pet)

Is your dog a gulper? Many dogs are. They nearly choke themselves while they gorge, swallowing every bite whole. To slow them down a bit, consider a slow feed bowl like this one. It’s made of heavy duty plastic and has a high-grip rubber base to hold it in place. I’ve personally used this model with a couple of notorious fast-eating dogs. If this one doesn’t appeal, there are more interactive models, such as this maze bowl.

It’s available in small, medium, and large, depending on the size of your dog. You can also buy height extenders for it.

That petnet smartFeeder looks so high tech and awesome! It would be the perfect feeder to have for my dog because I’m out of town a lot. Sometimes it is hard to find good pet supplies that helps you take care of your pet when you travel a lot. I’m so happy they made this feeder. How many days of food can it contain?

miss415

I have clients that have these for their 2 cats and they are excellent. the kitties can not break in to them and they can be programmed from her iphone. It depends on how much you feed your dog but if you are out of town a lot, you should not leave you dog alone! Dogs are very social animals and need to be around people. Get a pet sitter if you love your dog!
