Towson University’s GQ, or “Girl’s Quartet”, is providing a fresh spin on the normally male dominated music scene.
GQ first starting singing together in July of 2011, they knew right away that they had something unique. Each voice brought an important quality to the group’s sound. They knew they wanted to try and stay away from traditional A Cappella arrangements and explore songs and sounds that weren’t common.
Most recently, the group flew to Denver CO the beginning of November and won the Sweet Adelines International’s “Rising Star” Competition. Look out for more exciting things from this up-and-coming group!
