Burger King has come out with the A-1 Halloween Whopper, which has black sesame seed buns. But, is the Whopper causing eaters to have green poop?
The black-bunned sandwich is a ¼ lb. of flame-grilled beef topped with melted American cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, mayonnaise, A.1. Sauce, pickles, and white onions on a soft sesame seed bun with A.1. actually baked into the bun. It has 710 calories in it for the price of $4.99 and Burger King calls it “deliciously dark”.
Burger King has told ABC News that there’s less than 1% of food dye in the buns. The company also states on its website that the dyes “are commonly used in the industry and within the safe and Acceptable Daily Intake (ADI) approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).”
While the idea of your poop turning green isn’t that appealing, some diners actually want to try the Halloween Whopper for that very reason. They want to to see if their own poop turns green.
So, visit your local Burger King, eat up and let us know if you start producing leprechaun poop.
