Today is Veterans Day, and a number of restaurants and chains across the country are offering free meals and discounts to vets who have served their country, along with active military members. What’s Friendly’s doing this year? Friendly’s is celebrating Veterans Day with a free breakfast, lunch, or dinner for all veterans and active military personnel! The franchise’s website reads, “Friendly’s takes pride in giving back to the community and recognizing the men and women who diligently serve our country. This Veteran’s Day, Friendly’s will once again say, ‘thank you’ to veterans and active military with a bountiful, mouth-watering meal…no wallets needed!” The offer is extended to dine-in guests only at all Friendly’s locations and is limited to one breakfast, lunch, or dinner per person. Those who wish to participate should bring a valid ID or military discharge card.
In need of a pick-me-up? You’re in luck! Starbucks is offering a free, tall-sized brewed coffee to activity-duty military, veterans, and military personnel. Dunkin’ Donuts, meanwhile, is handing out one free coffee or donut of any variety at participating locations. If you’re craving pizza, California Pizza Kitchen has a great deal going– US military servicemen and women are offered a complimentary pizza, salad, or pasta from CPK’s special Veterans Day Menu.
