In honor of Veterans Day, businesses and restaurants across the country are showing their appreciation by offering discounts and freebies to all active and retired military personnel. What’s Outback Steakhouse doing to honor the holiday? Outback will be offering a free Bloomin’ Onion and beverage to those who have served, or currently serve, in the military. The offer is valid for all US military members who present one of the following forms of identification: a) U.S. Uniformed Services Identification Card, (b) U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, (c) Current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), (d) Veterans Organization Card (i.e. American Legion and VFW), (e) DD214 Certificate, (f) Veteran Identification Card (VIC) or, (g) Photograph in U.S. Uniform or wearing U.S. Uniform. The free beverage must be a Coca-Cola product.

But the deal doesn’t end there! Outback is also offering an additional 15% off for military families November 12-December 31 2016. Participation in these deals varies by location, so please be sure to call the location you’re planning to visit first to make sure they are participating in the free offer.

What other franchises are participating in Veterans Day? Chili’s will be offering a free meal from a special menu of five choices, and Buffalo Wild Wings is giving out a free small order of traditional or boneless wings and a side of fries. For coffee fiends, Dunkin’ Donuts and Starbucks are also offering some good deals.
