Are the Banks Open on Veterans Day 2016?

Veterans Day 2016 is November 11, 2016, and most banks are closed in addition to government offices and certain financial markets. However a few banks will be open, while most are closed.

According to Go Banking Rates, all the banks that will be open on Veterans Day are:

HSBC: All branches are reported to be open.
PNC Bank: Regular branches are closed, but many in-store locations will stay open.
SunTrust Bank: Traditional branches will be closed, but in-store locations will remain open.
TD Bank: All branches are open.
U.S. Bank: Some branches may be open, but call your specific location to find out.

BBVA Compass Bank
BB&T
BMO Harris
Capital One Bank
Chase Bank
Citibank
Citizens Bank
Comerica
Fifth Third Bank
First Niagara Bank
Huntington Bank
Huntington State Bank
KeyBank
M&T Bank
People’s United Bank
Regions Bank
Santander Bank
Union Bank
Wells Fargo

The stock market will also be open. There will be no mail delivery, USPS branches will not be running, all federal offices will be shut down and courts will be closed. Certain libraries may be closed, but trash collection and public transportation should run as usual. As far as school closings go, schools are not obligated to close on Veterans Day, so it is up to the individual school district.

In some areas, parking meters may be free and there are a number of sales and restaurant deals going on.
