Happy New Year! It's 2017 and everyone hopes to make changes for the better. Whether your plans are to exercise more, lose weight, or change a bad habit, find inspiration here! According to History.com, "The ancient Babylonians are said to have been the first people to make New Year’s resolutions, some 4,000 years ago." During their New Year celebrations, which were in mid-March, ancient Babylonians would pay debts and return borrowed goods to win favor from pagan gods. While that religious aspect of the New Year may be gone in 2017, people still find that a new year provides fertile footing for a fresh start. So whatever your intention is for 2017, make it a good one.
