As if his performance on the course wasn’t good enough on Sunday, Rory McIlory came up big one last time when the lid of the Wanamaker Trophy nearly fell to the ground while PGA of America President Ted Bishop was presenting it to McIlroy.
McIlroy, who had just finished off a one-stroke victory over Phil Mickelson to win his second straight major, slyly made a reaching grab, then proceeded to put the lid back on the famous piece of hardware and hold it up for the cameras.
