Brandon Moss got things going for the Oakland A’s Tuesday night when he homered off of Royals ace James Shields in the top of the first.
When Kansas City manager Ned Yost removed Shields in the top of the sixth in fagvor of rookie Yordano Ventura with the Royals clinging to a 3-2 lead, Moss delivered again, giving Oakland the lead with a 3-run blast that ignited a 5-run inning.
Moss’ second blast brought on an avalanche of criticism for Yost, who was accused of g ross bullpen mismanagement that cost the Royals the lead.
