We’re used to seeing things get testy on the football field between Alabama and Auburn. But not so much when the women’s basketball teams get together for a game.
Thursday night in Tuscaloosa, though, things did get out of control between the Tigers and Crimson Tide.
Auburn’s Hasina Muhammad and Alabama’s Breanna Hayden got into a fight during the first half of their game after getting tangled up in the paint following a made free throw.
Both players appear to have landed punches.
Apparently, Muhammad was not happy when Hayden took that swing at her. The scuffle spilled over to the Alabama bench where players, coaches and the refs tried to pull the two apart.
When it was all said and done, Hayden and Muhammad were ejected, as was Alabama’s Meoshonti Knight for leaving the bench.
As for the game itself, the Tide won 51-50.
