Born in California, but raised in North Carolina, Brittany Baca attended her first NASCAR race at 6-years-old. It was the Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte. And she’s been a huge fan since.

So it’s only fitting that her new husband is Sprint Cup star Joey Logano, driver of the No. 22 Shell Gas/Pennzoil/AAA/AutoTrader.com Ford Fusion for Team Penske.

Brittany, who graduated from UNC-Charlotte in 2014, plans on starting a Master’s degree program in counseling.

Here’s what you need to know about Brittany:

Logano and Baca were married December 13, 2014, at the Biltmore estate in Asheville, North Carolina.

Logano’s Team Penske teammate Brad Keselowski was in attendance, as were other members of the NASCAR family.

And Keselowski appeared to have a fun time being the wedding’s social media updater.

2. They Met at The Ice Skating Rink Owned by Brittany’s Sister

Brittany told NASCAR.com about the proposal:

Joey wrapped trees with lights and parked my dream car (a mint green Ford Thunderbird) in the woods. It was a sweet moment that I will never forget. We’re getting married on Dec. 13, 2014 (12/13/14), in Asheville, N.C. We are super-excited to bring together all our friends and family in such a beautiful area.

Why did they choose 12/13/14 for the wedding date? She said she picked that date so it would be easy for Joey to remember.

4. She Loves to Travel

The couple honeymooned in Costa Rica after the wedding and Brittany says traveling is one of her favorite things to do.

She told NASCAR.com:

I absolutely love traveling. My philosophy is: There is always something to do wherever you are. I have always wanted to go to the airport and take the next flight wherever that may be. I enjoy Charleston, S.C. — I love all the history — as well as Mexico.

Brittany travels a lot during the Sprint Cup season as she is a regular at most races.

5. Brittany Comes From an Athletic Family

As mentioned above, ice skating runs in the Baca family as sister Danielle is an accomplished one. Brittany has also dabbled on the ice, but she also partakes in a few other activities to stay in shape.

As she recently told NASCAR:

I have a hard time working out with no push, so I have a trainer twice a week that gets my booty in shape. Outside of that, I love hiking, and Zumba is a fun calorie burner.
I definitely cannot dance, but I sure do try. The hour goes by so fast and is great cardio fun.
