In just a few short hours — or long, depending on how you feel about the Patriots or Seahawks — we’ll know the champion of Super Bowl 49. But who were the first 48 winners?

The Steelers have the most wins with six.

The Patriots were the last team to win back-to-back Super Bowls when they did it in 2004 and 2005. It’s been done six other times, and the Steelers are the only team to do it twice.

The Patriots, Cowboys and Steelers have the most Super Bowl appearances with eight each.

The Bills have the most consecutive appearances with four.

The Bronco’s five losses are the most in Super Bowl history.

The 1972 Dolphins were the only team to have a perfect season that ended with a Super Bowl win.

The Ravens are the only team that has been to the Super Bowl multiple times and never lost.

The only teams to never appear in the Super Bowl are the Browns, Lions, Jaguars and Texans.
