The phrase “pitchers and catchers” has become synonymous with late February.

The baseball fan knows exactly what it means: Time for Major League Baseball’s Spring Training.

We’re just over a week away before teams expect their batteries in camp. And a few days after they arrive, position players begin trickling in.

The defending World Series champion San Francisco Giants get things kicked off with pitchers and catchers on Thursday, February 19. The full squad is scheduled to report on Tuesday, February 24.

The American League-winning Kansas City Royals have the same reporting dates.
