Frosted from post-position No. 4 won the 91st running of the $1 million Wood Memorial at Aqueduct Racetrack, all but clinching a spot in the 20-horse Kentucky Derby field.

Here were the entries in this year’s race.

Frosted went off at 3/1 and joins Verrazano and Wicked Strong as the last two winners of the race — both horses eventually went on to be heavy choices to win the Kentucky Derby, yet neither horse accomplished the feat.

Frosted was ridden by jockey Joel Rosario, trained by Kiaran P. McLaughlin and owned by Godolphin Racing LLC.
