Atlanta Braves pitcher Shelby Miller had a no-hit bid against the Miami Marlins broken up on a Justin Bour pinch-hit single with two outs in the bottom of the ninth.
Miller got the next batter, Martin Prado, to pop out to complete a 1-hit shutout. He struck out four and walked one batter.

1. He Was Traded to the Braves for Jason Heyward by the Cardinals

Heyward was acquired by the Braves from the St. Louis Cardinals in an off-season trade for Jason Heyward.
He is 4-1 with a 1.60 ERA through his first seven starts of the season.
In his four-year career, the 24-year-old Miller is 30-19 with a 3.14 ERA and 351 strikeouts.
2. The Cardinals Drafted Miller in the First Round of the 2009 Draft

Miller, from Houston, Texas, was drafted as a high schooler in 2009 and turned down a scholarship to Texas A&M, signing with the Cardinals for a $2.875 million signing bonus.
3. He Was the 5th-Best Prospect in Baseball in 2012

MLB.com ranked Miller as the 5th-best prospect in baseball after compiling a 9-3 record in AA and AAA the season before.
4. He Made His Big League Debut in 2012 & Pitched in the NLCS as a Reliever That Year

Miller joined the Cardinals in September 2012 and pitched as a reliever during that postseason.
His first full season was in 2013 and he finished third in the Rookie of the Year Award voting, with a 15-9 record and 3.06 ERA.
5. He Married His Wife, Amy, In 2013
Miller married his wife, Amy Peters, in 2013. They dated for two years. Fellow pitcher and former Cardinals teammate Joe Kelly was his best man.
