Bayern Munich looks to follow the trend of outstanding play in the second leg of the knockout stages of the 2014-2015 Champions League. After posting a 0-0 scoreline in the first leg of the Round of 16 against Shakhtar Donetsk in Lviv, Ukraine, Bayern Munich drubbed Shakhtar Donetsk 7-0 in Munich. The trend continued in the quarterfinals, as Bayern Munich fell 3-1 in Porto, Portugal against FC Porto before winning 6-1 in Munich to advance to the semifinals. Seven players have scored at least two goals for the Bavarian giants during the 2014-2015 tournament, as Bayern Munich leads all sides with 30 goals scored in the Champions League. If Bayern Munich can earn a victory on aggregiate, they will earn their tenth Champions League final appearance.

Barcelona, on the other hand, looks to cruise to their seventh Champions League final. Barcelona last made the Champions League final in 2011, beating Manchester United 3-1 to win their fourth Champions League crown. Barcelona has a tournament-high 10 goals from Lionel Messi thus far, as Messi scored twice in the first leg of this semifinal. Messi also now has the most goals in Champions League history with 77, one more than Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. Barcelona is the only team in the tournament this campaign with at least 10 wins (10-0-1) and has a tournament-best plus-19 goal differential, tied with their foe Bayern Munich.
