The New York Knicks fans reacted strongly when the Knicks selected Latvian big man Kristaps Porzingis. The Knicks shaky draft history more than likely contributed to the negative reaction. Fans envision another Darko Milicic type situation where an international prospect has a great workout but does not live up to his potential.
One thing that may be different is Kristaps seems to have a love for the game, something missing from a lot of international players that did not pan out. New York fans will be anxiously awaiting to see how it turns out.
