The 53rd National Hockey League Entry Draft takes place this weekend from the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida — home of the Florida Panthers — and is a seven round, two-day event.

The first round of this year’s Draft starts at 8 p.m. ET on on Friday, June 26th; Rounds 2-7 will take place the next day on Saturday and begin in the morning at 10 p.m. ET.

The Draft’s coverage will be spread out over four channels. U.S. markets can watch the first round on Friday on the NBC Sports Network; Canadian markets can watch the first round on SportsNet. Saturday, both markets can watch Day 2 live on the NHL Network. TVA Sports will also broadcast both days of the NHL Draft in both countries.

This year’s NHL Draft has one of the most hyped players in 10 years — Connor McDavid.

Not only has McDavid been the standout player, having some analysts compare him to NHL star Sidney Crosby, but this Draft has also been acknowledged as one of the deepest Drafts in recent memory. Standout talents like Jack Eichel, Noah Hanifin and Dylan Strome could have went higher in past years, but will all graduate to NHL organizations on Friday night in prime time.

Heavy will continue providing coverage leading up to the 2015 NHL Draft all throughout the week.
