John Daly finally won his first PGA Tour tournament since 2004 on May 7 by winning the PGA Tour Champions’ Insperity Invitational. After the victory, his fiancee, Anna Cladakis, rushed onto the course to meet him and help celebrate with champagne.

Daly became a household name when he first entered the PGA Tour in 1991. Although he has been known for his sharp golf game and Major Championship wins in 1991 and 1995, it has been his behavior, absurd habits and loud clothes that have kept the public’s attention after almost 20 years of his ups and downs on tour.

The issues in Daly’s personal life have had a direct correlation with his success on the golf course. Lately, his golf game has been sharp as he happily plans his fifth marriage with fiancee, Cladakis. The couple announced their engagement in December 2014.

Here’s what you need to know and about Daly’s future wife:

1. She Will Be Daly’s Fifth Wife

The first of Daly’s soon-to-be five wives was an Arkansas girl named Dale Crafton whom he married in 1987. Crafton was a hand model and came from a wealthy family in Arkansas where she met Daly. The marriage ended horribly and Daly was miserable in Blytheville, Arkansas where they lived. He succumbed to the pressure of trying to make it to the PGA Tour and support he and his wife. The pressure was too much and after more than two years of fighting, they divorced in February 1990.

Daly met Bettye Fulford two months after his first divorce while she was working as a hotel convention planner from Georgia and married her in 1992. This marriage ended in 1995 after lies on Fulford’s end, a daughter, a palimony and paternity suit, and the arrest of Daly.

After Daly’s divorce with Fulford was finalized in 1995, he married his third wife, Paulette Dean. Dean had his second daughter, but after four years of on and off fighting and splitting up, Daly once again found himself single in 1999.

Daly’s fourth wife, Sherrie Miller, was a 25-year-old car saleswoman from Memphis, Tennessee with a one-year-old son named Austin when he met her in 1999. The two were married in 2001. Miller gave birth to Daly’s son, John Patrick Daly II, but that same week her parents Alvis and Billie were indicted under charges of involvement regarding an illegal gambling operation and million-dollar drug ring in Mississippi. Daly and Miller divorced in 2007.

2. Daly Helped Claadakis in an Episode of ‘Bar Rescue’

Cladakis works as a promotional director for Hooters which is how she met Daly, who is known for his love of food, boozing and women. The two met back in 2007 while she was doing PR for the restaurant chain and began having an affair, technically with the pro golfer since he had not yet been divorced, but was already separated.

In May 2016, Golf Digest noted that Daly starred in an episode of Bar Rescue that featured The Bridge Lounge in Tarpon Springs, Florida. Cladakis, her brother and sister own the bar, which their late father bought in 2003. The bar was losing $4,000 a month when it was featured on the Spike TV show.

By the end of the show, The Bridge was successfully transformed.

3. His Fourth Wife, Sherrie Miller, is Suing Cladakis

Daly’s fourth wife, Sherrie Miller sued Cladakis in 2014 for wrecking their marriage that ended in 2007.

According to the Associated Press, Miller claims that Daly and Cladakis began seeing each other in 2007 while he was separated from Miller. Miller also included two “purported employees” of Cladakis’ as plaintiffs.

Miller wanted the case heard in DeSoto County, because “the alleged sexual activity between Cladakis and Daly within the state of Mississippi, which contributed to the breakup of Daly’s marriage with Miller, constituted a tort committed, at least in part, within this state,” according to the lawsuit.

In May 2015, The Associated Press reported that there was a chance the case could wind up in the U.S. Supreme Court after the Mississippi Supreme court allowed Miller to move ahead with the lawsuit.

The State Supreme Court agreed that Miller had the grounds to sue Daly and Cladakis for damages if she can prove that their relationship began in Mississippi. Mississippi is one of the few states where “alienation of affection” can be grounds for a lawsuit.

4. She Had a Daughter With the Founder of Outback Steakhouse

Before Cladakis met Daly, she was seeing Chris T. Sullivan, founder and chairman of well-known restaurant chain, Outback Steakhouse. Cladakis became pregnant with their daughter, Charitsa, out-of-wedlock and fought for a reasonable settlement with the multimillionaire.

In 2004, The St. Petersburg Times reported that Cladakis tried to get $186,922 for the first year of Charista’s life. She told the paper that Sullivan hadn’t even seen the child at that point and only agreed to pay $5,000 a month in temporary support. Sullivan’s attorney called the demands for more money “ludicrous.”

The St. Petersburg Times reported a year later that Sullivan agreed to pay Cladakis $7,500 a month until Charista turns 18. Sullivan had an estimated net worth of $153 million at the time.

Cladakis, 46, can often be seen carrying Daly’s bag no matter how important the tournament is. Whether Cladakis is caddying for him or not, she can be seen watching Daly play while wearing a matching and equally as flamboyant outfit as her future husband.

At the Insperity Invitational on May 7, Cladakis was seen wearing American flag shorts that matched Daly’s American flag pants. Daly earned $322,500 for winning the tournament.

“Now, I can say I’m a champion on the Champions Tour, which is really cool,” Daly told the Associated Press. “Hopefully, I can keep this confidence going.”
