Arsenal finished third in the English Premier League in 2014-2015, won the FA Cup for the second straight year, for a record 12th time as well, and saw new signing Alexis Sanchez score 16 goals to lead the Gunners. Even with all of their successes in England, including clinching their 18th straight berth to the Champions League, Arsenal is still chasing their first English Premier League championship since 2003-2004. Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger is off of the hot seat after back-to-back FA Cup victories, but even as late as December 2014, pundits thought that the 20 year Arsenal coach could be sacked.

Arsenal has 9 of their 19 home fixtures of the season before the end of 2015, including three of their five December matches at home. The Gunners finish their schedule with only three games against top-ten teams from the 2014-2015 season in the last three month, with the premier matchup as a trip to EPL runner-up Manchester City on May 7, 2016.
