The final PGA Tour tuneup for next week’s British Open is the John Deere Classic, and it gets underway Thursday from TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois.
While many of the marquee names are skipping the event to head over to the U.K., Masters and U.S. Open winner Jordan Spieth will be playing, as is Zach Johnson, Steve Stricker and last year’s winner Brian Harman.
The John Deere is always an exciting tournament, with many golfers going way under par. Harman won at 22-under in 2014, a stroke better than Johnson.
The British Open begins July 16 from the Old Course at St. Andrews in Scotland.
