This is the one fans at the Pan American Games have been waiting for: USA vs. Canada.

Sure, many thought it would be coming a day later in the gold-medal game, but the drama between the bordering North American rival countries should still be nearly as good in the semifinals.

Canada, which is a win away from clinching its first-ever basketball medal at the Pan Am Games, went 3-0 in round-robin play. Jay Triano’s team has been led by NBA big men Anthony Bennett and Andrew Nicholson, while former Baylor sharpshooter Brady Heslip and 18-year-old Kentucky recruit Jamal Murray have provided barrages from the outside.

While the Canadians are getting standout play from their youth, the USA, which finished second in its group after a loss to Brazil, has relied on veterans Damien Wilkins, Bobby Brown, Keith Langford and Anthony Randolph. College players Taurean Prince and Kaleb Tarczewski have made solid contributions, but the overseas experience from the older players has proven vital.

With a spot in the gold-medal game on the line, this is going to be a must-watch battle. Here’s everything you need to know so you don’t miss it:
