With the HBO cameras rolling, the Texans are just a few short weeks away from the 2015 regular season. Without having named a starting quarterback, Bill O’Brien will need those four games to decide if Brian Hoyer or Ryan Mallett will be calling the signals week one against the Chiefs.
Houston opens preseason action at home against San Francisco, who is trying to fill gaps left by a bevy of departures and retirements. The next week, Houston will face off against former head coach Gary Kubiak and the Broncos.
In Week Three, when the starters traditionally play the most, the Texans will play their first road game of 2015 in the Superdome against the Saints. New Orleans is the only team the Texans will also meet in the regular season, when the Saints visit Houston in November.
The Texans will wrap up their preseason in a local showdown at AT&T Stadium against the Cowboys. The Texans make their regular season debut at home September 13th against the Chiefs.
