Sevilla finished fifth in La Liga and were champions of the Europa League for the second straight season, beating Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk 3-2 in the final. The Spanish powers were also 14-5-5 in La Liga in 2015 and may be up to the challenge of the Spanish top-three. Sevilla has been very busy in the transfer market, losing top scorer Carlos Bacca to AC Milan and Aleix Vidal to Barcelona, and signing Steven N’Zonzi, Gael Kakuta, Michael Krohn-Dehli, Evgen Konoplyanka and getting Ciro Immobile on loan from Borussia Dortmund. Even after losing their best players after each of the past three seasons, Sevilla is still a team to be feared in La Liga.

After Sevilla opens their season with a trip to Malaga, they will play Atletico Madrid and Barcelona within their next six games.
