He’s at it again.
Minutes after opening his account this season in the UEFA Super Cup, Lionel Messi scored another stunning free kick for Barcelona against Sevilla. This time the ball was well outside the box, but Messi still beat Sevilla goalie Beto for a second straight time.
This came after Messi, 28, scored from a closer position in the seventh minute of the match.
That was just the beginning for a wild match as Barcelona threw away a 4-1 lead only to prevail 5-4 in extra time. The trophy is the first of six available this season.
The UEFA Super Cup pits the previous season’s winners of the Champions League and Europa League.
