Preseason tournaments between the best squads around the world have been a rousing success in terms of attendance and interest. One of the last cups takes place this week in Munich where Bayern will host the fourth annual Audi Cup. A.C. Milan, Tottenham, Real Madrid and Bayern will play a quick two-day, semifinal-final format tournament.
The two semifinals — Real Madrid vs. Tottenham, Bayern vs. A.C. Milan — take place on Tuesday, with the third place playoff and final slated for Wednesday. All matches will be held at Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena.
Real Madrid has enjoyed a busy and prosperous preseason, capturing the International Champions Cup editions In Australia and Asia. Their first competitive match in 2015/16 isn’t until August 23, so there remains plenty of time for the squad to work in training before the grind begins.
Tottenham on the other hand kicks off its season in five days when they take on Manchester United in their EPL opener, which may affect squad selection for this tournament.
