The Arizona Cardinals make their first trip to Chicago since 2009 to meet the Bears, who are listed as 1-point home underdogs at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

The Bears have struggled ATS in the their last 19 games, going 4-14-1. They’ve also lost their last five games SU. Last weekend, the Bears battled the Packers for all four quarters before falling 31-23 at home. Quarterback Jay Cutler struggled, though, going 18-for-36 for 225 yards, a touchdown and an interception.

Arizona defeated the Saints last weekend 31-19 in a game that was much closer than the final score indicated. Carson Palmer appeared back to top form, throwing for more than 300 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. The Cardinals are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games overall.

The Bears showed much improvement in Week 1 under a new coaching staff led by John Fox, Vic Fangio and Adam Gase, giving fans a glimmer of hope that brighter days are ahead. Matt Forte had a monster effort against the Packers with 144 rushing and 25 receiving yards, and remains the focal point of the offense.

Chicago has won four of the last five games against Arizona, but is just 2-3-1 ATS in the last six meetings. The Cardinals are 1-4 in their last five road games.

The total for the game is set at 46.5 points at the sportsbooks. The total has gone over in six of the nine meetings between the two teams. The OddsShark Computer projects a slight Cardinals edge at 27.2-25.4 with plenty of points on the board. With each side capable of playing better defense, fade the recent trend of the rising over/under total.
