When this matchup was selected, nobody could predict what we’ve got Thursday: An 0-3 team against a backup quarterback.

Baltimore has struggled so far this season, but they get a great opportunity on the road when Michael Vick may be forced to start for Pittsburgh for TNF. The Ravens have lost all three games this season by six points or less, but each week have surrendered scores at the worst possible time.

For Pittsburgh, the Steelers got back one star and lost another. Sunday was the return of star back Le’Veon Bell, who totaled over 130 yards and scored in his return. The biggest story will be the injury status of Ben Roethlisberger, who went down against St. Louis and had to be carted to the locker room.

If Big Ben can’t go, Michael Vick will make his first NFL start since week 11 last season. Vick, who signed with the Steelers after being released by the Jets this summer, finished the game against St. Louis with 5/6 for 38 yards.

Popular opinion states that when it comes to point spreads, no single player affects the line except for the quarterback. It’s interesting that the line has opened at just 2.5 points, signaling that Vegas doesn’t think very highly of Vick.
