One might see this contest and think that a game between a couple of 1-3 teams might not be the most compelling thing to watch. There is at least one fascinating reason to watch, and that is Jameis Winston.
Of course, Winston was much-ballyhooed as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 draft and has struggled to live up to his hype so far. After leading his team to an impressive Week 2 win over the Saints Winston has taken an evident step back; in last week’s loss to the Panthers he threw four interceptions and looked easily rattled by the defensive pressure. If he can bounce back and lead his team to a win at home, it would go a long way to quieting his detractors.
The Jaguars, meanwhile, have beaten only the hapless Dolphins in Week 2. Their young quarterback Blake Bortles will look to take a step forward as well.
