For the second straight week, Andrew Luck will be unable to go. The shoulder hasn’t fully healed, and the short week was not enough recovery time for Luck to be ready tonight.

The biggest red flag was the re-signing of QB Josh Johnson, who will serve as the safety-net QB for the Colts.

Enter Hasselbeck once again.

The 40 year old backup wasn’t bad against the Jaguars, and did a nice job of distributing the ball. Hasselbeck hit six different receivers Sunday, including a game-high nine catches for Coby Fleener.

Tonight will be a very different story against the front of Houston. Hasselbeck’s health is a concern with Watt and Clowney on the outsides. If the Colts have to pass 47 times like they did against the Jaguars, he could be in trouble against a desperate Texans team that was flattened just four days ago.

If you’re a Luck owner and you’re out of options, there are worse starts than Hasselbeck. The biggest concern is his health. If Hasselbeck is sick, he’s not going to come out of the game because the sickness worsened, unlike an ankle or shoulder injury.

Prediction:174 passing yards, 2 TD, 1 INT
