Alcides Escobar has got wheels and he used all of them on Tuesday night.
The Kansas City Royals leadoff hitter got his team on the board with an inside-the-park home run in his first 2015 World Series at bat. The ball had landed in deep center field and an error on the Mets allowed Escobar to sprint around the bases. Check out the moment right here:

It’s the first leadoff, inside-the-park home run since 1903. Patsy Doherty hit the in Game 2 of the World Series. Of course. Doherty homered twice in that game as the Boston Americans — we now know them as the Red Sox — went on to beat the Pittsburgh Pirates for the title.
